BGCB Partnership with the US Census 2010BGCB Partnership with the US Census 2010 The Blue Grass Council of the Blind has joined in partnership with the US Census Bureau to promote participation (especially within the blind and visually impaired community) in the 2010 Census of the US. We're also encouraging other agencies and organizations that assist the blind/visually impaired, and the handicapped in general, to join in the effort to raise awareness of the importance of participation in the 2010 Census. The information gathered in the census is crucial to properly allocate funds and government resources to assist the blind/visually impaired community, as well as the general public. BGCB will also hold meetings to assist those who are blind/visually impaired in completing their Census forms. We will be active participants and promoters of the census process. As the census grows closer, and more information becomes available from the Census Bureau, we will see that our constituency is kept abreast of developments. We urge you to join with us to make sure that the 2010 Census is successful and accurate! For more information, or to help in the Census process, go to the Census2010 web site by clicking on the logo below. You can also call the BGCB office at (859) 259-1834, or email us at bgcb@qx.net.
