In Ephesians we are directly called to "imitate God". It happens to mention there that we are His children as well. This is no unimportant accident. We should indeed be imitating the life of Christ in our daily lives. We can't do that, though, by just deciding we're going to pretend like we are Jesus. It's not play-acting. This is real! This is how we do all the things we've been talking about for the last several weeks. We must deepen our union with Him. The first step in that direction is to realize it's not just us - we are not alone in here. He is in us and we are joined to Him. We are one and that is how anything gets done down here - His life being lived in and through us.

Questions:

1) As a Christian, how do you "imitate Christ" (or God) differently than if you were not a Christian?

2) How does this Truth affect how you live your life?

ACTION!

How can we help this to become more REAL to each other? We're not talking about beating each other over the head with the Bible. This does NO good. All this must be done in Love, for that is the nature of God.
