The various types (AEU, BEU, etc.) are distinguished by the size of the hard
drive, the amount of installed RAM, the preloaded operating system, presence
or absence of wireless and firewire hardware, etc.
Other R-series Thinkpads
The R30 is (superficially) similar to the R31, but the R32 (2658-xxx and
2659-xxx) is a Pentium IV model and has a substantially different chipset.
