This is the famous Jim "Flash" Sawyer.  Spend 2 minutes around him and you'll know how he earned his nickname.  Super-great guy.  Flash is on miata #2.  His first miata was a '90 Silver with a FMII turbo, along with MANY other mods.

Near the end of the 2002 autocross season, Jim found a '93 LE in outstanding condition.  The winter of 2002/2003 was spent transplanting many of the mods from the '90 silver to the '93 LE black.  The transformation is complete (both cars are now on the road; silver one has been sold to the new owner).

Below are a few shots of the Lexington Miata Performance group giving Flash a hand.

DSCF0019_640.jpg (69208 bytes)    GEEZER and WILDMAN yanking the Japan-spec turbo motor from the 'ol 90... to go into the 93LE.  Who let them work on this car anyway?

DSCF0030_640.jpg (64032 bytes)    FLASH... happily stands by one removed turbo motor.

DSCF0031.JPG (72530 bytes)    Tony Talbert and TORQUE WRENCH work on a new Hard Dog Hard Core installation.

DSCF0036.JPG (58940 bytes)    Master Mazda Mechanic (aka FLASH's brother Mark) shows WILD MAN where he went wrong.

3/2/03 Update... New nose and bodywork is complete.  The pictures just don't do the car justice...
