Above is a photo of my new dew heater controller. I will heat the sensor seen near the front of the OTA under the heater strip to an adjustable amount above the ambient temperature. The ambient temp sensor is threaded through the rear video finder mounting ring and secured with a cable tie.
My Orion dew heater was way too hot at 26watts. (factory default.) This should help image quality. By allowing me to use only enough heat to do the job.
