Cheap Bastard Bot = Script: Bastard Bot Version 1.0 by MotivRider
Ok, Bottom line here is...I messed around with trying to find a script that "worked" and did what it said it would and I found most of em did everything I didn't need or want and nothing i wanted. The one I liked the most was indigo...mainly because it had a nice random topic file which I bastardized into a random quote file to embarass people who don't choose their words carefully in the channel. The other nice feature to indigo98 was the remote user functions that allowed master users to kick other ppl in the channel through the bot by sending it a command.
I rewrote the bot into mirc502 code and even wrote a topic adder function to add to the remote capabilities of the bot. The bastard bot is entirely a "bastardization" of indigo, but I ended up rewriting so much of it that the code is definitely identifiable as mine now. Am I going to release the bot? Probably not, mainly because it is very toolzone specific and is far from finished...I'm sure I'll be bastardizing it more and more as time goes on. If you are lucky enough to have master access and the trust of the sops...you will be given a list of remote commands to order the bastard to do certain remote functions, such as add topics to the random topic file ("bastardize"), and kick, ban or op other users.

As most of our channel visitors know, the bastard has gone through a major renovation. A few changes have been made. There is a little known secret that to convert a script from one version of mirc to another, all you have to do is copy a new version of mirc32 into the directory and run the script. How this works, I dunno...but I tried it with a fresh copy of indigo98 and it worked wonderfully. I still had to rewrite the remote kicks and bans, but in the process I was able to bastrdize alot of features of indigo that I formerly did not have cause I just deleted them instead of trying to convert them to 5.02 code. Now the bastard is almost completely remote control for all "Master" level users. He also ops and blacklists. In fact, I'm working towards making the bastard so good he can kick Chanserv's ass any day of the week :). At this point, bastard changes whenever I get the gusto to try to bastardize more code. I'm probably going to add alot of remote flooding commands soon, for the purpose of channel raiding, which the bastard does quite well now, returning the spoils of the raid logs to the channel via "spy-bot" an awesome indigo98 feature I bastardized. If you noticed the bastard no longer plays wavs, this is not cause its messed up. I removed the wavs for a reason, I will add them back in as an inactive group when I get the chance. So that if I ever release this, ppl will have the wavs. They were getting pretty damned annoying anyway. Ok, I'm done with Nerd Talk for today, later peeps.
P.S. If you know of scripts with especially good flood protection, floods, nukes, e.t.c, let me know their names and what version to get. Also, Smerf , send me that damned ebonics translator script! That shit is funny!
Anyone in toolzone can type the following commands in the channel and Cheap Bastard will exectute them:
- "thistopicsucks" - Cheap Bastard changes the topic to another random topic from the "bastardization" file
- "&Spin" - Cheap Bastard will play spin the bottle (This game usually resorts to jokes about lesbianism and gays depending on the male female ratio of the channel at the time)
- "8ball question" - Cheap Bastard will shake the sarcastic smartass 8ball and it will respond to your question.
