Major Organizations:
Viper: Terrorism, extortion, world conquest and general mayhem are the hallmarks of this organization. Motivated by an obscure set of goals, Viper is the among the top threats to to world security in existence.
ISIS: International Security Investigative Section: Formed
by the UN to combat Viper,
Project: Prometheus: A governmental think tank devoted to investigating/developing new technologies such as recovered alien/super human tech.
Major Teams:
Champions of Justice (Not the Champions from the BBB :-) ):
One of the first hero teams formed after the Tyranthrax War, the Champions have
achieved world celebrity and the ire of practically every villainous group on
the planet. The original members came from the both the team that escaped from
the Tyranthrax and those who went with The One to battle the Queen Mind. The
team is based in
Roster:
Gaurdsman: Equipped with a high tech suit of powered armor, Gaurdsman was one of those involved in the final assault on the Queen Mind. Sponsored by OmniTech, a multinational conglomerate, his battle suit seems to be the joint creation of several scientist but the man within is unknown.
Cloud: The true origin of this unusual being is unknown. She posses the power to transform into a variety of gases/fluids, creates fogs, blinding clouds manipulate the weather and is seemingly indestructible. She rarely speaks and seems to defer to Guardsman
Knighthawk: A product of Tyranthrax technology, Knighthawk is a cyborg with enhanced strength, speed and stamina. She can fly using built in jets, has several built in weapons systems and natural armor Knighthawk is second in command of the team.
Wraith: As his name suggests, Wraith can assume a ghostlike form, intangible and invulnerable. In this form he can walk on air, become imperceptible and pass through solid matter. On the other hand he can increase his density by several orders of magnitude, gaining superhuman strength and resistance to
injury.
Magus: A recent addition to the team, Magus’ origin is unknown. He is a sorcerer of some power, able to conjure magical bolts, shields and other magical effects at will. He can fly and is an expert on all manner of occult lore.
Black Orchid: Another of the original Tyranthrax experiments, Orchid’s dexterity and reaction time have been boosted to superhuman levels. In combat, she uses a set of special throwing disks, martial arts and her innate combat sense. Black Orchid has gained a reputation as a ruthless fighter.
Jade : Created in the blast that opened the age of superhumans, Jade is immensely strong and resilant. She can lift over a 100 tons, ignore high caliber machine gun fire and is immune to the effect of radiation and heat. A flamboyant fighter, she is surprisingly fast for her size and skilled in a few hand to hand combat techniques.
Matrix: A new comer, Matrix possesses the power to “solidify” energy or convert matter to energy by doing so he can create powerful barriers, explode objects and create forms from ambient energy. His potential power is limited by his inexperience.
Devastator: Somewhere between vehicle and hero, Devastator is a huge humanoid robot, piloted from within by an unknown individual. Devastator is a immensely strong, heavily armed and armored. and capable of taking immense punishment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Legionaries: Formed fairly recently from an accidental meeting between
several heroes, the Legionares have made quite a reputation for themselves
in their breif stint as a team. They have bested several Viper teams and the
forces of the villain calling itself the Master. Having one member that had
achieved a measure of fame as an independant hero has only added to their
reputation.
Darkstar: The leader of the team, Darkstar posses the power to create and
manipulate a strange black form of energy. Using it he can levitate.
teleport and project concussive bolts as well blanket an area in darkness.
His origin and identity are unknown but he seems to be sponsored by Blackhawk
Aeronautics.
Hellfire: Another veteran of the Tyranthrax war, Hellfire was thought
retired but she returned to the superheroic arena when she aided DarkStar
against a viper team robbing a military shipment. She is a living nuclear
reactor, generating immensely powerful blast of radioactive and plasma. She
can fly using her flames and is sheathed in fiery plasma. Her powers are
unstable, so she must wear a control harness to keep them in check .
Foxfire: A strange and silent young woman, Foxfire’s origin is unknown. She
seemed to join the team shortly after its formation and has remained ever
since. Foxfire can project laser like beams of energy as well as fly by
unknown means.
Nightshade: Formerly an independent hero, Nightshade has achieved a measure
of fame with her own line of comics and a video game based on her exploits
agsinst
crime in inner city
actually isn’t a fame seeker and seems somewhat embarrassed by all the
attention she has received. Rumor has it that she is the lover of another
superhuman, Star Hawk. Nightshade is a master marital artist, schooled by
the legendary teacher Sensei in dozens of unarmed combat techniques. Her
dexterity and skill rival that of any warrior in the world.
Empath: A powerful emotional controller, Empath is one of the original
members of the team. She joined with Darkstar at the beginning of the
team. Empath is very quiet about her origins, never letting anything of them
be revealed. She posses an unusual accent that is lovely but impossible to
place.
Tigra: A feline humanoid female. Tigra is an altered clone of another team
member, Nightshade. Created by Genengineer in an attempt to assassinate the
martial artist. Instead she was captured. Over a few weeks Empath used her
abilities to cool her bestial rages and help her form a personality. Tigra
considers the team her family and Nightshade a sister.
Starchild: Stranded and alone, her ship damaged beyond repair, Starchild fell
under the influence of the alien Master. The creature promised to return her
home is she worked with him. She battled the Legionnaires on its behalf a few
times before discovering he had no intention of aiding her. Ridden with
guilt she has decided to make amends by acting as a hero.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
The Circle: This team is an enigma. Most don’t even know it exists. A
coalition of magical heroes they have united to present a united front
aginst the forces of DEMON and other occult threats. They have worked with
most major superhuman teams in the
past as well as
membership is as unknown as their origins but suspected to include, at least
loosely most magical superhumans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
Omega Unit: Super villain mercenary team
Allegiance: Independent
Motivation: Mercenary, driven by the bottom line. Shrapnel and Blade enjoy
combat but the other considers themselves purely professional.
Status: Known criminals/mercenaries wanted by law enforcement officials
worldwide. Ruthless but no where near as visous as Eurostar and Terror
Incoporated.
Members: Huntsman: Professional Soldier equipped with a suit of powered armor.
Highly skilled at combat and tactics, group leader.
Arclight: Mutant human with the ability to absorb kinetic energy and
redirect it into blast and explosive bursts. Possesses superhuman strength to
an unknown degree.
Bullseye: Ex Special forces sniper now assassin for hire. Bullseye
uses high powered rifles to dispatch his targets. Cold and relentless he has
racked an impressive "tally"
Stalker: Partner of Bullseye’s, Stalker earned his name. He tracks
his targets, picking just the right time to strike. He has an array of high
tech weapons at his disposal, among them a portable minigun, laser pistol
and Man portable Autocannon.
Flare: Another mutant, Flare can generate intense light/heat energy.
She seems to be the most laid back of the group but is none the less lethal
when she chooses to be.
Shrapnel: Composed of living metal, Shrapnel can literally explode
into razor sharp fragments, reforming an instant later. Less randomly he can
slash with his jagged edges or rend his opponents with his great strength.
A sociopath, he cares nothing for innocents caught in the line of fire and
seems to revel in causing as much destruction as possible.
Blade: Much like Shrapnel, Blade loves combat. A master of knives,
she engages in HTH as much as possible, grinning all the while. She seems
resistant to cutting herself, which make her relationship to Shrapnel more
feasible than it seems.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course there are several villain team but I thought that was a good taste
of the worse.
