Physical Description
Nellens Regault is a figure of contrasts. He is tall, but almost rapier thin.
His long flowing hair is the color of burning embers and falls down to the small
of his back but his skin is as pale as ash. His eyes are a cool, almost tranquil
black but his smile gleams with irreversibility energy. He dresses in loose
flowing, peasant style pants and is bare-chested except when he dons his form-
fitting armored breastplate. Along his left arm are tattooed a series of
elemental sigils which tend to glow when he burns peripheral Essence.

Personality:
Regault doesn't know the meanings of either the words "restraint" or "fear." For
him, thought and deed are usually one and the same. This means he is
frighteningly honest, often in a way that his companions find slightly
distressing. But Regault never lies unless he has a very good reason, and he is
very bad at it when he does attempt such deceptions. Besides, he is much more a
being of action than talk. He trusts his instincts and trusts in his superhuman
prowess and heritage to see that he succeeds at whatever tasks his instincts say
are worth performing. His emotions typically burn hot, but very short. Unlike
most other Fire aspects, Regault does not seem to have a temper. He laughs off
insults and always seems to be cool under pressure.
Regault is, however, obsessively loyal to his fellow Dragon-bloods. He'll never
forgive himself for leading his sworn brother into a battle against a wretched
Anathema sorcerer in a fight they simple could not win. His brother-in-blades
died in that battle, but Regault himself was spared. For the foolish sorcerer's
mercy, Regault has sworn he will seek the bastard down and destroy him. IN the
meantime, he tries to aid his fellow Dragon-bloods as best he can, always
willing to throw himself into the fire to make sure his allies are not harmed.
Background (in brief)
Regault never knew his father. His mother was a former slave woman of
exceptionally poor stock, who was nevertheless whisked off to a life of comfort
when she turned up pregnant after a Sessus orgy one night. Unable to trace his
lineage and not ever sure if the child would Exalt the woman was cared for by a
Nellens precept named Makoto. The child Regault was raised with all the proper
circumstance of a possible Prince of the Earth but it was clear from the disdain
of his fellows at school that he was little expected to Exalt. Thus it came as
quite a surprise when he did just that.
From the moment of his Exaltation Regault has been a firebrand, little given to
thought of contemplation. Attempts by his mentor Makoto to bang such things as
decorum and subtly were doomed to failure, even if the boy took to swordplay and
exploration like it was second nature. Finally Makoto despaired of ever teaching
the young Exalt how to properly fit in with life in the courts and decided to
set him lose in the world. He was given his treasured weapon "Crimson Thunder"
and allowed to attune to a few of the Manses from Nellens holdings before being
sent across the
And make a reputation he did. His irrepressible desire for adventure and his
skilled prowess seemed to give him a charmed life. He literally drifted from
astonishingly successful campaign to campaign, seemingly to bring luck and
fortune to any venture he happened to be involved in. He even picked up a
stalwart travelling companion align the way. And in one particularly outlandish
moment he challenged a rival Terrestrial from Lookshy to a gambling contest in
the middle of a tremendous melee, and won it. Of course, she was unconscious
when he liberated his prize, but he doesn't seem to mind. He did swear not to
harm her with the weapon should they ever meet again in return for taking it in
such a manner. A promise he has kept despite their numerous encounters over the
next few years. It seems she was more than interested in retrieving her lost
artifact...
Regault seemed destined for great things, with a path of plenty set down by the
Immaculate Dragons. Then he got involved in a battle with one of the Reborn
Solar Anathema, was beaten within an inch of his life, and his good friend was
killed in front of his eyes. He returned to the Realm in disgrace and spent a
good year contemplating his failure. But his nature is not to sit and brood.
Instead he heard of a chance to regain his lost honor and engage in a good old
fashioned adventure at the same time, he smiled. Carrying his grand Daiklaive
over is shoulder and his liberated powerbow across his back Regault knows that
his life will never be boring.
