These events are summarized and presented from an outsider POV. There may have been more going on behind the scenes.

The first recorded appearance of a super powered being (SPB) was on December 24 2004, when a woman known only as Pandora appeared in Toronto, Canada. The woman, though completely nude, seemed unphased by the winter conditions and merely seemed to be curious about her surroundings, exploring the downtown area on foot and by seemingly unaided. At one point she stepped through a pane of glass (leaving a molten hole) into a department display to examine the clothing inside. About 20 minutes after her arrival, another SPB arrived, a male. He spoke with Pandora for a awhile before she departed and was last seen heading towards the United States. The man, who only identified himself as "Avatar" left soon afterward.

Less than 24 hours later, a police stand off in New York turned into another encounter. A woman had barricaded herself in apartment with her infant daughter after apparently murdering her boyfriend (and the child's father). Police were held off not only be the presence of a child but by the fact the women was somehow hurling extremely heavy objects such a furniture and appliances from inside the building. At one point unknown, presumably Federal authorities arrived on the scene and tried to apprehend the young women using what can only be described as some form of possibly cloned being that were referred to as "TAOs". In the ensuing fight, at least one more unknown SPB appeared and a TAO was critically injured. The building was then leveled that rocket fire from an assault helicopter.

Avatar and several other SPB later appeared to assist with the tsunami that struck Asia. Their apparent leader, a young calling himself "The Doctor" addressed the press breify to explain their presence and their desire to assist and promised more information would be forthcoming declaring a "new age' was coming. The enigmatic Doctor was quite charismatic and seemingly benevolent.

A few days later a massive explosion rocked southern Texas. Despite the size of the blast it was confirmed to be of non nuclear origin. The area has been cordoned off by the military.
