Sometimes it is frightening at how similar such agencies as CNN and the BBC are to such news agencies as North Korea and the Chinese who don't really recognize left and right wing. I think it is very important to read both sides of the story. You can get a gist of how governments want thier people to react. In many ways news is a way of controlling populations. Hard line dictatorships go to an obvious extreme. CNN has impressed me time and time again with their biased, incomplete and sometimes downright fraudulent news stories. Sometimes you just have to read between the lines and listen to the propaganda of both sides. . . It is my belief that people are unable to write an unbiased news story. It is up to the reader to try and figure out where the bias is coming from and make their own decisions about the subject. CNN News: For depressing news about how the world is going down the tubes fast. . . BBC New: Another agencies that sometimes tells much more of the story than CNN but is as equally biased sometimes. North Korea's Official News: Talk about biased! But if you read between the lines it is very informative. China's News: Considering that more people speak Chinese than English it is a good idea to keep appraised on what is going on in China. Serbia's News Agency: Another biased news agency but still interesting. |
