About
Versailles, Kentucky and the area
Versailles
is a charming small town with a population of about
9,000. Versailles is centrally located in the Bluegrass region of
Kentucky and is the county seat of Woodford County. The town is
surrounded by rolling hills, scenic horse farms, historic buildings
and dry-laid stone fences. Versailles has low crime rates and a
historic downtown in the process of revitilization, and is quiet,
comfortable place to live and raise a family in a small town.
You
can walk or bike to downtown shops, the farmer's market and the
library, or take a short drive to the new Falling Springs
Recreation Center at the County Park. A 5-mile bike trail
connects the downtown park to the county park. Come to Versailles
if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, yet be
close to the amenities of Lexington,
Louisville and Cincinnati.
