Background Biography
Lisa Jakub is a beautiful, talented, but mysterious actress. She has been acting since about the age of 4 and, like most fledgling actresses, started in commercials. Eventually she landed some guest parts in a few TV shows (Friday the 13th etc.). Then she moved on to Made for TV Movies, and finally onto the Big Screen. With notable parts in such movies as Mrs. Doubtfire, Matinee, and Independence Day, many people have seen her performances, but don't really know her by name. As best as we can tell, she lives in LA, but takes time to visit her home town of Toronto, CA, where she still has Family and friends.
Comments from other people:
Slowly, we are finding out what she is really like. According to Tim Furry, an extra in the movie Prairie Doves, Lisa "is very easy to get along with" He has also mentioned that, "She's a great kid, really nice to talk to." What she is like, I think, is a very important thing to understand, since movies are stories, which are portrayed to us by the director, in what he or she want's us to see. Why else is she called an actress, but to act.
Interviews:
Devine Entertainment Corporation makes "films, based on historical and timeless stories." Here is an profile/interview with Lisa about one of their films. "LISA JAKUB: Clara Storey in "Issac Newton: A Tale of Two Issacs." |
Here is an article about Independence Day with a short section on with Lisa. This is from the July 1 - 7, 1996 issue of react for teens. The article is called:
alien alert, Independence Day stars share their anti-extraterrestrial strategies
"Lisa Jakub, a.k.a. Miguel's sister Alicia, opts for trying to reason with the aliens. 'I'd take a Berlitz Quickie course on how to speak Alien,' says Lisa, 17, who lives in Toronto, Canada. 'Then I'd get to Los Angeles and eat in all of my favorite restaurants." Coming soon:Click here to see a scan of the article. :Coming soon
The article was published July 1 - 7 1996 and mentions that "Lisa, 17, who lives in Toronto, Canada." From that I theorized that she was born between June 1978 and August 1979. I basically figured that if she just turned 17 on July 1 1996 then she would have been born July 1 1979, but if it was the last day in her 17th year, then she would have been born July 1 1978. Of course the article was "Published" in July 1996, so I subtracted and added one month to my Dates. If you find a mistake in my logic, let me know so I can make a correction. (I must have went over that a hundred times, and each time it confused the heck out of me.) |
