The Da Vinci Code phenomenon hits home.

Yup, after four weeks of staring at the copy of the Da Vinci Code my mom sent me, I gave up last night and started reading it. So Mr. De Landa will have to wait patiently for a few days while I knock this out. So far it's pretty basic. Fibonacci Series, religious secret societies, iconographic symbolism, anagrams and pentagrams. Nothing too far out there if you have an architecture degree... I'm at page 104 as of this morning. My nemesis Mr. Ives sitting across from me has been enticing me since last Friday and is currently rounding the final turn at page 340 and heading for home. There's such a huge buzz about this book everywhere you go. I mean, if my mom read it, then it's a phenomenon. More interestingly there are a lot of books coming out claiming to support or debunk the novel's authenticity... which gives me a very creepy Focault's Pendulum sensation... In any case it's full of tangential tidbits which are likely to send me off on some wild cognitive adventures... which may make it worthwhile no matter what.
