'Team America': Sex, Puppets & Controversy

FOXNews.com - Foxlife - Fox411 - 'Team America': Sex, Puppets & Controversy

It's rare that a review of a movie will be this funny... and it usually means that the movie in question will be equally hilarious. Perhaps the greatest appeal of Trey Parker's work, for me, is the irreverence. As I was saying previously, there are a lot of people taking themselves and their opinions way too seriously these days... Movies like this allow us to laugh at ourselves and each other as equals. I firmly believe that when the world can laugh together, we'll all get along and we'll have peace. Screw the peace and love, humans are not on equal levels in that field and getting them all to the same place will be more disastrous than the resulting harmony is worth. Laughter is universal. It's a core human expression... all cultures laugh. Parker is brilliant at making you laugh at things so serious it scares you... and the taboo, offensive quality of it is so over the top, that it tickles that secret human weakness... the forbidden fruit. The movie opens soon... I don't know where it's plaing yet... but here's the trailer and the official web page.
