Modern Nursery Inspiration: A Bright Future

Modern Nursery Inspiration: A Bright Future

The process of decorating our nursery a few months back was exasperating. Between the abysmal options available from every baby store in town to the style altering hormones my wife was on, we ended up with something that almost fit our tastes but not really.

The biggest dilemma was the furniture. We could have spent more on something, but we couldn't bring ourselves to shell out the mandatory $600 for a ho-hum crib that we didn't really like anyway. So we went with a bargain that we didn't hate. I think we'd have done things a lot differently if we'd found this site earlier. Now we have to wait till Mr. O reaches "toddler bed" age to put together a child's room that imparts our design sensibilities to him. :)

So, if you're expecting and you have less traditional taste in home decor, don't give in and buy some aweful furniture that looks like every other piece of awful furniture in the baby store. Your choices do not end with the color of wood stain.
